Our
company, in compliance with the directive 92/58/CEE, has studied and
produced a new kind of road barrier tape, different from the one
commonly used all over the world because visible in the night and in
bad weather conditions.
In
the recent years, the governments of the European countries have had
to conform to the above mentioned Directive, which
regulates the necessary requirements of the road marking system and
the workplace health and safety conditions.
The
Directive defines the necessary features of the different road marking
signs and the correct ways of signalization.
Here's
a short excerpt of the directive (Art. 79 and Art.162):

ROAD
RULES – PERFORMANCE REGULATIONS
Art.
79 (Art.
39 C
.d.S.)
Visibility
of the signs
-
All
the road signs must be visible and readable both at day and night.
-
The
nocturnal visibility can be secured with one's own lighting devices (transparent
or reflective). The reflection is usually obtained with the employment of
suitable reflective films.
-
All
the road signs,
with the exception of those in force exclusively on the daytime, of those
equipped with their own lightning system or placed in illuminated areas,
must by all means be reflective so that they appear, at night, the same
way they do during the day ( same shapes, colours and symbols).
-
All
the road signs must be made so as to be clearly visible on any kind of
road and in any condition of exposition and environmental lighting.
All
the
member states of
the European union must conform
to
directive
92/58/CEE.
That's way ALFAN 2000 decided to study and patent a new type of
reflective barrier tape made in Polyethylene, visible at night and therefore
in compliance with the above mentioned rules.
The
numerous tests carried out in the night have shown that the retro-reflective
barrier tape is the ideal solution for the marking of dangerous areas and
working areas because it can be seen from a remarkable distance and in
bad atmospheric conditions.
The
high quality material confers to the tape a peculiar brightness and remarkable
resistance to the atmospheric agents.
